Things turned out differently this year it seems. Galleries closed, shows and events were cancelled and the wonderful teaching weeks at Coombe Farm Studios quietly erased.

Instead there was the quiet to think and walk, draw and paint and experiment with clay; time expanded as the days lengthened into summer and what a gift it was.

I’ve travelled a long way since the world became quiet in March, and it’s all good.
